Description
Beautiful 2004 Gibson ES-175D. 71b 3 oz. Hollow-body, Florentine cutaway electric archtop. The flamed maple (fancier grain) top, back and sides was an upgrade, adding
finish; “D” = two (“double”) pickups. Gold plated hardware
(original upgrade). Fully bound top/back/neck; original frets with binding covering fret ends. Gold floating Tune-o-Matic bridge with pearl inlaid rosewood base. Gold Gibson Deluxe Kluson tuners, two gold-plated 57 Classic PAF sticker humbucking pickups (7.83k neck; 8.04k bridge). Rounded “D” profile early 60’s type neck, but not overly chunky. A very smooth player. 850″ first fret, 990″ 10th; frets in great condition; finish slightly cloudy in some areas with some lacquer checking, typical for age. Minor wear but overall immaculate condition. Plays & sounds great – full, round jazz tone, but very versatile. Currently with flatwound strings for a jazzier tone, but sounds and plays great with regular strings as well.
